Go(ing) East

This afternoon took me to some of the neighborhoods in East London. The past week kept me busy with the start of classes and seriously sidelined my flat hunt which I vowed to resume today. I am still getting hopelessly lost during most of my outings but have managed to take it in stride and have been recalling the first few weeks of my internship at 1708 in Richmond which had me delivering packages to homes of gallery donors. Needless to say I remained lost for the good portion of a couple months before I felt that I had a good sense of where I was. Another fun tidbit worth adding is that the Barclays ATM near Tower Hill tube station is the proud new owner of my Bank of America debit card. Apparently the machine wanted the card more than I did and mustering every generous sentiment I could find... I continued my day. I didn't get to see as much of the area as I'd hoped but plan on returning tomorrow for some photo work as well as to continue my wandering.

Here are a few shots.

Borough Market

London's fantastic Borough Market, located near the London Bridge provided me with an entertaining and delicious afternoon despite the city's best efforts at literally raining on my parade. Good try.

not the market... just this evening during a walk to get some wine, cheese, and chocolate. Go figure.
